We believe Web3 nodes shouldn't be hosted on web2 architecture owned and controlled by a handful of trillion dollar companies.
We started out providing capacity (compute and storage) on the ThreeFold grid (www.threefold.io). Then we starting experimenting with hosting validator nodes ourselves and now we're offering this as-a-service.
We find it particularly galling that the new crop of lavishly funded "node-as-a-service" companies use the old AWS/Azure services for their nodes, as it undercuts a central plank of Web3, namely, decentralization.
We're starting with Streamr because it's a project we like ourselves, more to come!
